Tuukka Rask Stops Sven Baertschi’s Backhander From Dot to Earn DCU Save of the Game Honors

The Bruins did a mighty fine job of hanging onto the puck during the third period of Tuesday’s night game, but when they did turn the puck over in their own zone, Tuukka Rask was there to save the day.

The B’s goaltender allowed only one goal on the night as his teammates staged a third-period rally to come from behind and win 2-1, in large part due to a tough stop Rask made during the final period.

Sven Baertschi took advantage of Boston’s turnover, firing off a spinning backhander from the dot, but Rask was able to make the nifty save, covering it up as Joe Colborne converged on the net for the rebound.

Check out Rask’s stop that earned him DCU Save of the Game honors.
