Jim Harbaugh‘s wife wasn’t too stoked about his wardrobe, but the San Francisco 49ers head coach finally did something about it.
Sarah Harbaugh called her husband out for his bland style, even telling a San Francisco radio station that he bought his on-field attire at Walmart. The blue-collar coach responded to questions about his $8 khakis during his Wednesday news conference, telling reporters that everything is good now.
“Problem solved there,” Harbaugh joked to reporters, according to NFL.com. “The Levis or the Nike and the Dickie makes a flat khaki. So ‘happy wife, happy life.’ As far as tuckin’ the shirt goes, that will be great. I’ll feel like an innovator.”
Harbaugh said that he’s upped his game from $8 Walmart pleated pants to $23 slacks. His wife would be happy to know “they were on sale that day.”
Now that Khakigate has been resolved, maybe the quirky coach can get back to the all-important NFC Championship Game he has coming up this weekend.
