During the fourth quarter, Minnesota guard J.J. Barea and forward Dante Cunningham were seen sulking on the bench and weren’t showing much emotion as the team attempted to win a very competitive game. Timberwolves superstar Kevin Love was not impressed by his teammates’ body language, and he expressed his frustration to reporters after the defeat.
“We can’t have two guys sitting at the end of the bench that play good minutes just sitting there and not getting up during timeouts,” Love said, per Jon Krawczynski of The Associated Press. “… We all need to be in this together. That kind of pisses me off. We’re supposed to be a team. If and when I did that last year when maybe I didn’t sit out for the game for all 48 minutes … they would’ve aired me out.”
The loss to the Suns dropped the Timberwolves to 17-18 and 2 1/2 games behind the Dallas Mavericks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
As someone who has never played in the postseason since entering the NBA in 2008-09, Love is trying to do all he can to light a fire under his team for a late-season playoff push. Minnesota fortunately has a soft schedule coming up with matchups against the Charlotte Bobcats, Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz (twice) over the next six games.

Not sure what’s going on here, but it’s pretty funny.
