After dropping four of their last six games, the Bruins could certainly use a spark and Shawn Thornton is hoping to provide just that in San Jose on Saturday night.
The Bruins forward is finally eligible to return to the ice following his 15-game suspension for the Dec. 7 incident at the Garden involving Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik. The veteran is ready to put the suspension behind him and bring some much-needed energy to a team that has struggled mightily in its first two games on the West Coast.
