Jack Parker’s legendary career as a player and head coach of men’s hockey at Boston University was honored Friday night during a number retirement ceremony at Agganis Arena.

In his 40 seasons behind the Terriers bench, Parker led the team to three national championships (1978, 1995, 2009), 21 Beanpot titles and 894 victories. Many of his players went on to become United States Olympians and NHL stars.
