A.J. Pierzynski was one of the Red Sox’ biggest offseason additions, signed to a one-year deal to start behind the plate.

Pierzynski and David Ross will form a quality 1-2 punch at catcher with their solid defense, leadership and championship experience. Pierzynski knows the American League very well as a former member of the Chicago White Sox and Texas Rangers, and his desire to add another World Series title to his resume should help him make a smooth transition to the Red Sox clubhouse.
