Despite some strong chances, the Boston Bruins were not able to capitalize on two first-period power plays against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday afternoon.

After failing to convert on their first man-advantage, the B’s went back on the power play with just five minutes remaining in the period. Patrice Bergeron came close to getting his team on the board, but his pass to Loui Eriksson in front of the net had a little too much on it, and Eriksson wasn’t able to get his stick on the puck.
