Report: Louisville Football Recruit Arrested After Impregnating 14-Year-Old Cousin

Louisville football recruit Sharieff Rhaheed-Muhammad was arrested Monday and faces a felony charge of “lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor” after allegedly impregnating his 14-year-old cousin.

“The pregnancy was aborted in November, and genetic testing of the remains showed on Feb. 11 a nearly 100 percent chance that Rhaheed-Muhammad, 17, was the father,” Scott T. Smith of CBS 12 News writes. “After Rhaheed and his mother refused to provide a DNA sample, police served a search warrant at the high school in November and took a swab of his DNA, according to the report.”

The school told WPTV in West Palm Beach that “(Louisville football head) coach Bobby Petrino is aware of the situation.”

Rhaheed-Muhammad committed to Louisville on Feb. 5. He was an outside linebacker at Fort Pierce Central (FL) High School during the 2013 season, and was recruited by SEC schools including Alabama, Arkansas and Missouri, per 24.7 Sports.
