While he’s not expected to actually play, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will be a full-fledged member of the Texas Rangers on Monday.
The Super Bowl winner is expected to participate in morning workouts at the Rangers’ spring training facility, the team announced Wednesday, and even suit up for the Rangers’ Cactus League game against the Cleveland Indians.
Again, it’s highly unlikely Wilson will actually see game action — the Seahawks probably are not eager to see their franchise QB risk injury playing another sport — but he plans to be in uniform and watch the game with his Rangers teammates from the dugout.
Rangers manager Ron Washington said Wilson is free to participate in whichever drills he wants during practice.
