Ryan Dempster To Red Sox Fans: ‘Thank You For An Incredible Year To Go Out On’ (Video)

Ryan Dempster hasn’t announced his retirement, but he has declared he will not pitch in the upcoming season. As it stands now, Dempster’s last pitch at Fenway Park is a pretty great one, as he closed out Game 1 of the 2013 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

The right-hander said winning the World Series definitely played a factor in his decision, but it didn’t make the tough choice any easier. Dempster joined Tom Caron on the set of Red Sox LIVE from Fort Myers on Sunday to reflect on the aspects of the game he’ll miss and the impact his teammates had on him, and he also shared a special message to Red Sox fans across the country.

Check out Dempster’s thank you to Red Sox Nation in the video above.
