Slapshot Classic: Xander Bogaerts Goes Five-Hole To Take First Place (Video)

With only one day remaining in the Slapshot Classic, Boston Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts overthrew Jonny Gomes to claim the top spot.

Bogaerts, who looked surprisingly natural with a hockey stick, went five-hole twice to boot Gomes out of first place. Bogaerts’ 10 points put him in a great position to be presented with the championship belt Wednesday, but a couple of shooters still remain.
