Bruins Still Riding Momentum As Regular Season Winds Down (Video)

The Boston Bruins are playing their best hockey of the season and will be a very tough match-up for whoever they take on in the playoffs.

With their 3-0 win over the Blackhawks on Thursday, the Bruins extended their point-streak to 14 consecutive games. The team is playing well at the right time, having already clinched a playoff spot with the regular season winding down.

Much of the Bruins success can be attributed to Patrice Bergeron, who has scored at least one goal in five consecutive games. At the other end of the ice, goaltender Tuukka Rask continues to make a case for the Vezina trophy with his stellar play.

The shutout against the Blackhawks was his seventh of the season — two more than any other goaltender in the NHL. If the Bruins can continue to play at the level they’re on right now, the team should be able to make a serious push deep into the playoffs.
