Randy Moss’ Daughter Scores 63 In NCAA Division III Single-Game Scoring Record (Video)

Daughter of former NFL great Randy Moss and Thomas More College guard Sydney Moss set the NCAA Division III record for single-game scoring Friday night, according to ESPN. Moss scored 63 points in a semifinal victory over Waynesburg University in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference tournament.

The previous record was set by Ann Gilbert of Oberlin College in a game against Allegheny College on Feb. 6, 1991. Moss surpassed Gilbert’s 61-point mark when she sunk two free throws with 18 seconds remaining in the game. The Saints would go on to defeat the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets in a 106-88 win.

Sydney played her freshman year at the University of Florida before transferring to Thomas More College, located in a suburb of Cincinnati. The 5-foot-11 sophomore was a former basketball star at Boone County High School in Kentucky where she averaged 22.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game in her junior year.

Thomas More plays Washington & Jefferson College Saturday in the championship game. The team’s record is 27-0 on the season.
