Report: Julian Edelman’s Patriots Contract For Four Years, $17 Million

The figures are in on Julian Edelman’s new contract with the New England Patriots.

Edelman’s deal is worth $17 million over four years with $8 million guaranteed, FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday. The contract includes $2 million more in incentives.

The Patriots reportedly offered Edelman a three-year contract before free agency began.

Edelman was asked about his contract on WAAF on Monday.

“If I even bring up anything about a contract, I will be killed,” Edelman said.

Edelman earned his payday after catching 105 passes for 1,056 yards with six touchdowns in 2013. He signed a one-year, $1 million contract last offseason.

Edelman officially signed his deal Monday evening. His contract is worth less than what the Patriots gave fellow receiver Danny Amendola in 2013 ($28.5 million over five years with $10 million guaranteed).
