Life in the NFL won’t be the only thing AJ McCarron has to adjust to this summer.
The former Alabama star quarterback proposed to longtime girlfriend Katherine Webb on March 28, and now the couple plans to make a reality TV show to document their life as a newly married couple.
The wedding is set for July 11 and will be televised, as will the weeks of planning leading up to the big day. A premiere date for the show, as well as what network it will be aired on, has yet to be announced, Webb’s parents told The Plainsman, an Auburn student news outlet.
NFL coaches and executives must be hoping that McCarron’s ambitious summer plans won’t get in the way of his rookie season preparation.
McCarron, who won two BCS national championships in four seasons at Alabama, is projected as one of the top quarterbacks in a talented 2014 NFL Draft class that features top prospects Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles.
McCarron is expected to be taken in the second or third round, assuming he survives his foray into reality TV.
