Bruins Expected To Give Players Some Rest With Top Seed Locked Up (Video)

The Boston Bruins have the luxury of being able to take it easy over the regular season’s final week.

Sunday’s win over the Philadelphia Flyers clinched the Eastern Conference’s top seed for the Bruins, who will now be able to rest up some of their workhorses in preparation for what they hope will be another long playoff run.

Defenseman Zdeno Chara, who has played in 75 of the team’s 78 games, is the prime candidate to watch a few games from the press box, but he’s not the only Bruins player who could use a breather. Nine B’s players have played in 75 or more games this season, with Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Reilly Smith, Brad Marchand and Gregory Campbell suiting up for all 78.

Billy Jaffe stopped by “NESN Sports Today” on Sunday to give his predictions for the stretch run and preview the Bruins’ potential first-round opponents. Hear what he had to say in the video above.
