Pittsburgh Penguins star forwards Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin each entered Game 6 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Columbus Blue Jackets without a goal, drawing some criticism.
Malkin certainly quieted the critics with his performance Monday night.
Malkin netted a hat trick through the first two periods, scoring his first three goals of the playoffs as Pittsburgh jumped to a commanding four-goal lead before holding on for a 4-3, series-clinching victory in Columbus.
