Tempers flared during the bottom of the seventh inning of Sunday’s Boston Red Sox-Tampa Bay Rays game when Yunel Escobar stole third with a big lead.
Some members of the Red Sox took exception to Escobar’s baserunning with a five-run lead, and it didn’t take long for the benches to clear. The scrap was the product of the team’s collective frustration, catcher David Ross said after the Red Sox were handed their 10th straight loss.
