Boston Red Sox starter Jake Peavy hasn’t registered a win since April 25, and unfortunately, things didn’t go his way Thursday night against the Atlanta Braves.
It wasn’t that he didn’t pitch well. It was a matter of poor timing.
Peavy pitched one of his best games this season, going eight innings while giving up eight hits, three runs and just one walk. But the Sox couldn’t get ahead until the ninth inning, making closer Koji Uehara the winning pitcher and leaving Peavy with the no-decision.
