The Boston Red Sox made a pretty big transaction on Wednesday when the team signed shortstop Stephen Drew to a one-year contract. Drew took the roster spot of left-handed pitcher Felix Doubront, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain.
Drew is obviously no stranger to the Red Sox clubhouse, having helped the team to its 2013 World Series title, and signing Drew was one big step for the Red Sox that will help them moving forward. NESN Nation’s Alison Smith breaks it down in the video above.
