Bryce Harper Crushes Three Homers In Minor League Rehab Start (Video)

Bryce Harper had a considerable setback in April when he was forced to undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb.

It looks like his thumb is better now.

The Washington Nationals outfielder batted third in the designated hitter spot for Double-A Harrisburg on Saturday and put up a  ridiculous stat line, going 4-for-5 with three home runs and five RBIs in a 10-4 Harrisburg win.

Nationals manager Matt Williams told reporters on Saturday that he’s not sure if Harper will play another game in Harrisburg before hopefully joining the team early next week.

If Harper’s power display is any indication, though, it seems clear that the 21-year-old is ready to join the team as soon as possible. All three of the phenom’s home run balls were absolutely crushed, with his last homer sailing over the wall just to the left of the ballpark’s 400-foot sign in center field.

Harper had just one home run in 22 at-bats this season before injuring his thumb. It looks like there are a lot more on the way.
