Rock star Jack White announced today that his 2014 world tour will be making a stop at Fenway Park on September 17.
The former member of The White Stripes recently released a new album titled Lazaretto and has been touring the world to promote it.
This will be the fourth headliner to play at Fenway this summer. Billy Joel plays at America’s Most Beloved Ballpark on June 26. The following two nights feature The Zac Brown Band. Finally, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have their own show in the Fens on August 30.
White will be playing at Fenway’s Bleacher Theater. The stage will be set up in the right field bullpens and he’ll play for a crowd consisting of the bleachers and a few grandstand sections. This format has been used for other successful acts like John Legend and the Dropkick Murphys.
Tickets go on sale on June 20 at 10 a.m.
