Jake Peavy Takes Second-Lowest Run Support In AL Into Start Against A’s (Video)

It’s safe to say that run support has not been on Boston Red Sox starter Jake Peavy’s side this season.

The right-hander allowed just one earned run in his last start against the Cleveland Indians, but even so, the Red Sox couldn’t get Peavy his second win of the season as they fell 3-2 on June 14.

Peavy enters Thursday’s start against the Oakland Athletics with the second-lowest run support in the American League (3.19), but NESN’s Steve Lyons believes if he can continue to limit his opponents to one or two runs a game, the offense will come for Boston.

Check out the video above to hear more from Lyons and Tom Caron on “Red Sox Final.”
