As much as no athlete wants to blame their team’s struggles on the schedule, it’s hard to deny that the Boston Red Sox’s lack of off days as of late is causing a lot of problems.

The Sox are in the middle of a stretch of 20 games without a single off day. They had 16 games in a row before their one day off on June 5.

While this can often be the nature of the game, it still puts a team at a major disadvantage. Your starting pitchers get less rest, and all of your players have to go up against teams that might have had a lot more time off than yours.
