Derek Jeter began the American League’s three-run first inning in the 2014 All-Star Game with a double to the opposite field and shut up one fan in the process.
At about the same time Jeter made contact with a pitch from National League starter Adam Wainwright, a fan’s chant of “overrated” was picked up by FOX’s broadcast.

Jeter would later score on Mike Trout’s triple. Miguel Cabrera belted a two-run homer to left field later in the inning to give the AL a 3-0 lead.
