Mets Turn Triple Play On Yasiel Puig’s Baserunning Mistake (Video)

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is one of the best young players in baseball, but he sometimes hurts his team with poor decisions on defense and on the basepaths.

The Dodgers were down 7-2 but threatening in the sixth inning of Sunday’s game against the New York Mets with runners on first and second with no outs. Matt Kemp hit into a double play, but Puig, who started the play on second base, tried to score.

To no one’s surprise, the 23-year-old phenom easily was thrown out at the plate, ending the inning and completing a rare triple play. Check out the craziness in the video below.
