Mookie Betts got his fourth consecutive start in center field Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels at Fenway Park, and for good reason.
Since his call-up from Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday, Betts has shown his worth. He’s batting .273 (3-for-11) with a walk, a double and a run scored. And although those statistics come from just three games, it’s good to see that the 21-year-old can immediately fill a role.
Not to mention, the minor league second baseman is quickly adapting to Fenway’s weird and wonderful outfield.
