Smith signed a three-year deal with the Ravens in March, and expressed why he’s a perfect fit in an interview with CSN Baltimore’s Brian Miller on Thursday night.
“When I look in the defensive meeting room and I see, ‘Play like a Raven,’ ‘Baltimore Ravens: We build bullies,’ that’s what I’m talking about,” Smith said.
He then tried to convey how hungry the Ravens were in quite a bizarre, intimidating way.
“When I think of a Baltimore Raven, what I think of is you go in there, we take your lunch box, we take your sandwich, we take your juice box, we take your applesauce and we take your spork and we break it. And we leave you with an empty lunch.”
After all, everyone knows that’s the way the Ravens roll — stealing lunches and breaking food utensils.
“That’s the Baltimore Raven way, that’s the bully way and that’s football,” Smith said.
The New England Patriots also expressed interest in Smith during the offseason, but Bill Belichick probably wouldn’t allow spork-breaking in his locker room.
