UMass Fans Give Boston College’s Doug Flutie Statue A Makeover (Photo)
The Minutemen have fired their shots.
In anticipation of the “Battle for the Bay State” football game, one UMass fan — or maybe a few — decided to switch Doug Flutie’s allegiances. The statue of the legendary Boston College quarterback was spotted wearing a UMass jersey Tuesday morning.

The big game between the Minutemen and the Eagles is set for 3 p.m. Saturday at Gillette Stadium, but UMass certainly scored first.
