When Stephen Gostkowski isn’t booming 50-yard field goals on Sundays, he likes to bowl.
In fact, the New England Patriots kicker used to be a part of a bowling league in North Attleboro, Mass., several years ago, and he used to bowl with former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi.
Gostkowski and several Patriots players from past and present were on hand at the grand opening of the new Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Patriot Place on Monday.
“I have pretty good bowling skills,” Gostkowski said. “There’s not much to do in the winter here in New England, so I took up bowling.”
Seeing Gostkowski at a bowling alley near you is unlikely, though.
“Now that I have kids I don’t get to bowl as much, but I still like to do it.”
For one night, however, Gostkowski took up his old passion in celebration of the new bowling alley that Pats fans can enjoy before and after games.
