The Boston Bruins needed a score Thursday night after allowing the Buffalo Sabres to tally their first power-play goal of the season. Adam McQuaid delivered.
The Bruins had the puck in the neutral zone midway through the second period, and some nice positioning put McQuaid in the right place at the right time. Carl Soderberg drove toward the net, which allowed McQuaid to get open in the back of the action. Defenseman Joe Morrow passed to McQuaid, who was shot the equalizer past Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth.
