Ronnie Hillman Still Limited In Broncos Practice With Shoulder Injury

Denver Broncos running back Ronnie Hillman was limited in practice for the second consecutive day with a shoulder injury, according to the team.

Hillman gave the Broncos a scare Wednesday when he went down during practice. The running back told reporters afterward that the problem was minor and he’d practice in full Thursday.

“It’ll be all right,” Hillman said Wednesday, via The Denver Post. “I’ll be at practice tomorrow. It’s nothing that I can’t deal with.”

Although Hillman was limited again Thursday, the Boston Globe’s Ben Volin reported that Broncos fans shouldn’t be worried about the running back’s status for Sunday’s showdown with the New England Patriots.

Denver certainly is relying on the health of Hillman, who has filled in for Montee Ball after the starter went down in Week 5 with a groin injury. Rookie Juwan Thompson also has seen action in Ball’s absence, scoring two rushing touchdowns in the Broncos’ 35-21 win over the San Diego Chargers last Thursday night.

Broncos guard Louis Vazquez also returned to practice Thursday, albeit in limited participation, after missing Wednesday with an illness.
