P-Bruins’ Malcolm Subban Makes Save On Breakaway In Season Debut (Video)

Malcolm Subban shined in the Providence Bruins’ season opener on Friday.

Subban made 28 saves in the P-Bruins’ 2-1 overtime win against the St. John’s Ice Caps. Perhaps none were better than Subban’s second-period stoning of Ice Caps center John Albert. Subban made the point-blank pad save on Albert’s breakaway attempt.

Seth Griffith ultimately scored the winning goal for Providence on a feed from David Pastrnak. In his debut with Providence, Pastrnak had a team-high five shots on goal and notched a pair of assists.
