Darrelle RevisFOXBORO, Mass. — We might never know what kept Darrelle Revis out of practice Tuesday, but New England Patriots fans can breath a sigh of relief. The All-Pro cornerback returned Wednesday.

Defensive end Chandler Jones was the lone Patriots player missing from practice. Jones reportedly is likely out for a month with a hip injury.

Newly acquired linebacker Akeem Ayers was on the field wearing No. 52 for the Patriots, although there was no sign of defensive tackle Alan Branch, who reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Patriots on Tuesday.

The Patriots still haven’t filled out their 10-man practice squad after promoting running back Jonas Gray and guard Chris Barker last Thursday.

The Patriots might be waiting until they cut a player for Branch. Recently released linebacker Ja’Gared Davis is likely to be re-added to the practice squad if he clears waivers Thursday.
