Sweden Trolls France’s Layvin Kurzawa For Premature Trash-Talk (Video)

Layvin Kurzawa is paying the price for prematurely celebrating with way too much bravado.

Kurzawa, a defender on France’s U-21 national team, celebrated his late goal in Tuesday’s UEFA 2015 U-21 European Championship qualifier against host Sweden’s U-21s by aiming a provocative gesture, which loosely translates into saying “I can’t see you,” at his opponents and their fans.

Kurzawa’s 87th-minute goal reduced Sweden’s lead to 3-1 but it gave France the lead (on away goals) in the two-game series’ aggregate score. France appeared to be on its way to next summer’s U-21 European Championship.

That is, until Sweden’s Oscar Lewicki responded with a goal just one minute later. Of course Sweden returned the favor using Kurzawa’s celebratory salute to mark Lewicki’s goal.

Sweden held its three-goal advantage through the final whistle and celebrated qualification to next summer’s tournament with, you guessed it, more Kurzawa salutes.
