When you think of the Washington Capitals, one player usually comes to mind — Alexander Ovechkin.

The superstar undoubtedly will be the main focus for the Boston Bruins as they welcome the Capitals to town Saturday night, but he’s not the only player who should be accounted for.

In his breakdown of the game’s “focal points,” NESN’s Billy Jaffe identifies the matchup between Washington’s third line — Jason Chimera, Brooks Laich and Joel Ward — and Boston’s third line — Chris Kelly, Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson — as a key to the game.

“Whether they match up head-to-head remains to be seen, but both of these lines are very experienced with big players who can skate real well,” Jaffe said.
