U.S. Soccer Legend Brian McBride On Fulham’s Manager-Search Committee

LONDON — Fulham’s American chairman Shahid Khan has formed a five-man committee to help to find a new manager, including former captains Danny Murphy and Brian McBride.

Khan fired Felix Magath earlier this month following a dire seven months in charge that saw the London club relegated from the Premier League.

Now the businessman will take advice from a panel that also includes former Sunderland striker and chairman Niall Quinn, Nike director David Daly and Fulham academy director Huw Jennings.

Khan, who also owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, told Fulham’s website: “I’ve got the right five men to help us find the right man for Fulham.”

McBride, a former U.S. striker, played for Fulham from 2004-2008. Murphy spent five years at Craven Cottage from 2007.

Kit Symons is currently the caretaker manager.
