FK Prirbram’s novel corner kick routine proved to be anything but a circle of life for the struggling club.
Pribram, a team in the Czech Republic’s Synot Liga (first division), broke out a new corner kick routine Friday in its 1-1 draw against FK Teplice. It didn’t work.
Pribram players formed a circle and ran around before dispersing toward the Teplice goal in an effort to confuse their markers. Unfortunately, the corner kick taker failed to deliver the ball anywhere close to one of his teammates, making the whole thing an exercise in futility.
Neither the elaborate routine nor the result helped Pribram in its quest to climb the standings. Pribram remains in 12th place in the 16-team league.
Maybe Pribram should stick to the basics.
