The NHL All-Star Game will return this season after a two-year absence.
The first week of fan voting has concluded, and the league released the results Tuesday afternoon. There aren’t too many surprise at each position. Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban leads all players with a little more than 100,000 votes.
Here’s a voting breakdown by position, courtesy of NHL.com. You’ll notice three Bruins — goaltender Tuukka Rask, defenseman Zdeno Chara and center Patrice Bergeron — received enough votes to make the leaderboards. Fans have until Jan. 1 to vote.
The Columbus Blue Jackets will host the game, as well as the fantasy draft and skills challenge events. Columbus was supposed to host the annual showcase during the 2012-13 season, but the All-Star Game was canceled that year because of the lockout.
The most recent All-Star Game was played in Ottawa during the 2011-12 season. Chara, former Bruins forward Tyler Seguin and former goaltender Tim Thomas represented Boston.
