Ohio Governor Names CFP Committee Members As ‘Honorary Ohioans’

With the college football season winding down, the Ohio State Buckeyes sit in sixth place in the College Football Playoff rankings, and they’ll need more than just a win against rival Michigan to crack the top four.

The Buckeyes will have to win the Big 10 title game and get some help from other teams in order to earn some love from the selection committee.

Ohio governor John Kasich knows this, which is why he’s doing everything in his power to get some brownie points from the committee.

Kasich, who’s actually from Pennsylvania but graduated from Ohio State in 1974, released a statement naming all non-Ohioans on the committee as “Honorary Ohioans.”

This is probably not going to seal the deal for the Buckeyes, but it can’t hurt to try, right?
