Ravens Player Late To Meeting After Seeing Snow For First Time (Video)

Remember the first time you saw snow? For Timmy Jernigan, it was Wednesday.

The Baltimore Ravens’ rookie defensive tackle hails from Lake City, Fla., and played college football at Florida State, so you’ll forgive him if he’d never gotten a glimpse of the white stuff before.

Winter Storm Cato finally gave Jernigan that chance this week, dumping inches of snow outside the team’s practice facility in Maryland.

“It’s different,” Jernigan told Ravens.com. “It freaked me out this morning. Yesterday, it was warm outside. (Today) woke up, drove my car to practice, can’t even drive it home.”

Yet the 22-year-old’s first experience with snow didn’t end there. In fact, he was just getting started.

Unfortunately for Timmy, while he was busy constructing his first snowman, the Ravens had moved up a team meeting by half an hour. Which meant that Jernigan had to ditch the ball of snow that showed so much promise as he ran inside to catch his meeting.

Seeing your first snowfall is a pretty big deal, so let’s hope his coaches were sympathetic. Or at least let him go back and finish what he started after the meeting.
