Arian Foster Throws TD Pass For Texans, Informs Ravens Of Score (Video)

The Houston Texans entered Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens without Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Mallett, leaving quarterback duties to Case Keenum, who had yet to win an NFL game as a starter. That’s not good.

What is good, though, is that the Texans have Arian Foster, one of the most talented players in the league. So when they got down near the goal line, they decided to just let Foster throw the ball.

Foster made a pretty impressive play, throwing an accurate ball off his back foot to tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz (no, not J.J. Watt). It was the first touchdown pass by an NFL running back this season.

The trick play gave Houston a 16-point lead, a fact that Foster proudly pointed out to the Ravens — and viewers at home — after the play.

Foster’s pass produced the Texans’ only touchdown of the game, but Randy Bullock kicked six field goals to lift them to a 25-13 win. Who needs a quarterback?
