Brandon Marshall’s Thursday night included the highest of highs and the lowest of lows.
Marshall suffered a rib injury in the second quarter of the Chicago Bears’ 41-28 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, leaving his season in doubt, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. But before the injury, Marshall treated the Soldier Field fans to a sweet 42-yard catch.
Marshall reached out with one hand, juggled the football and ultimately hauled in the pigskin for a big completion. The euphoria was short-lived, as Marshall received a knee to the ribs minutes later after catching a fourth-down pass from Jay Cutler.
Football can be cruel sometimes.
