If the Boston Bruins can take a lead into the second or third period Saturday, they might just be able to lock up a win against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Blue Jackets have struggled mightily in come-from-behind situations this season, collecting just three points in games where they trailed after the first period and zero when they trailed after the second.
But that will be easier said than done.
Columbus has won eight of its last 10 games and goes hard to the net, which certainly will test Boston’s recovering blueline. The Blue Jackets also have a higher percentage of goals from the power play than any team in the NHL, so the Bruins will want to stay out of the box.
