Bruins Turnover Allows Tanner Pearson To Give Kings Early Lead (Video)

The Los Angeles Kings are defending Stanley Cup champions, so chances are good that they’ll capitalize if their opponent makes a mistake.

That’s what happened in the first period of Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Bruins, as a turnover by Bruins forward Gregory Campbell left Boston’s defense scrambling in its own zone.

Shortly after picking Campbell’s pocket along the side boards, Kings center Anze Kopitar pounced on a loose puck in the slot and fed a perfect pass to Tanner Pearson, who slammed it home from the right side for his 10th goal of the season.

Pearson’s tally gave the Kings a one-goal lead heading into the first intermission. Watch NESN’s Barry Pederson break down the goal in the video above.
