Leadership has been an issue that has plagued the Boston Bruins this season.

After losing two strong voices in the locker room and on the ice in Shawn Thornton and Jarome Iginla, the B’s have struggled to their void, which has played a part in the B’s struggles this season. But there are veterans on the team who are capable of embracing that role.

The onus falls on five core players — Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic, David Krejci and Tuukka Rask — to step up and turn this season around, NESN’s Andy Brickley explained on “Bruins Face-Off Live.”

“Those five guys, they are your leaders, and they’ve got to elevate their game,” Brickley said.
