The Boston Bruins got back in the win column Tuesday night, and they did so in impressive fashion.
The B’s fell into an early hole against the Dallas Stars but scored three unanswered goals en route to a 3-1 win at American Airlines Center. It was the perfect response for a team that had a five-game losing streak snapped in a 3-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.
The Stars didn’t make it easy for Boston, peppering goaltender Tuukka Rask with 37 shots on the night. But Rask and the Bruins held strong, and after the win, head coach Claude Julien had plenty of positive things to say about his team’s performance.
“It was one of those games where I thought there was a lot at stake for both teams,” Julien said. “We saw the best of probably both (teams) … I thought we did a good job holding the fort there, and our goaltender was good.”
