Just when you think Kobe Bryant can’t reach a new level of frustration, he goes and reaches a new level of frustration.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has had a rough season so far, and his annoyance with his teammates and just about anything else that’s contributed to the Lakers’ poor record has been clear for all to see. On Friday night, it was Los Angeles guard Jeremy Lin who felt Bryant’s wrath.
The Lakers were hoping to pull off a late-game comeback against the Memphis Grizzlies. That effort looked to be in much better shape when Bryant drilled a 3-pointer (after abandoning the play) to pull the Lakers within one point.
The Grizzlies could have all but dribbled out the clock to hold on for the win, unless, of course, the Lakers fouled. Lin was guarding Mike Conley at the top of the key and didn’t look like he was going to foul.
That elicited this response from Bryant.

Conley ended up making both free throws, and the Lakers’ comeback attempt fell short.
Lakers head coach Byron Scott tried to clear the air in his postgame news conference.
Sure sounds like some curious reasoning, the same sort of answer Scott would give if he were trying to make Lin look a little better.
