Tyler Seguin Says He Has ‘Secret’ Snapchat Account: ‘I’m Always On That’
It appears Tyler Seguin has opted for a social media tool that’s a bit more private.
If you’ll recall, the Dallas Stars forward temporarily shut down his Twitter account in July 2013 after a homophobic tweet was sent from his handle. Speaking to reporters Friday in Columbus during the NHL’s All-Star Weekend, Seguin said that incident helped curb his Twitter habit.
“I’m on, but I’m not doing much on it,” Seguin said, via For the Win. “Not as much as I was before. I tweet every few days, but I’m slacking on it.”
But Seguin is a 22-year-old kid with the world at his fingertips, and he certainly hasn’t gone off the grid. He’s just moved on to something else.
“I have Snapchat,” Seguin said, smiling. “I’m always on that.”
The picture-sharing app might be more suited to the former Boston Bruin, as photos are private and automatically disappear after a few seconds. In that vein, Seguin insisted his account was friends-only.
“But yeah, it’s a secret,” he said.
Seguin currently is tied with New York Rangers forward Rick Nash for the NHL lead with 28 goals scored, so as long as he keeps putting pucks in the net, we’re sure Dallas won’t mind too much.
