P.K. Subban Fined $2,000 For Diving During Canadiens’ Game Vs. Rangers

The NHL is making P.K. Subban pay up.

The league fined the Montreal Canadiens defenseman $2,000 on Wednesday for diving/embellishment, per CBC Sports. The incident occurred during last Thursday’s game against the New York Rangers, when Subban fell to the ice after forward Chris Kreider tapped him with his stick.

Both received two-minute minors: Subban for embellishment and Kreider for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Subban already had received a warning for diving during a Jan. 6 game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. A third offense would carry a $3,000 fine.
